Toro Parents,

Just a reminder that we have a shortened school week ahead. This Friday, students will have the day off for a teacher work day dedicated to preparing report cards and to usher in spring break. I hope that all our families get some time to recharge, whether it be by staying at home, exploring local activities, or traveling. I wish you all a fantastic week and a safe and enjoyable spring break. For further updates, please refer to this week's newsletter.

  • TEACHER WORKDAY:  The school will be closed to students on Friday, March 22nd, as our teachers dedicate the day to the preparation of Quarter 3 report cards. We appreciate your understanding as our teachers work to provide meaningful feedback on your child’s academic progress.
  • SPRING BREAK:  We look forward to Spring Break, which will be from Monday, March 25th, to Friday, March 29th. We hope our students enjoy this well-deserved break before classes resume on Monday, April 1st — and we promise, that’s no April Fool’s joke!
  • PURPLE UP! CELEBRATION EVENT:  In celebration of the Month of the Military Child, we’re thrilled to invite students and their parents to an evening filled with fun on April 17th, starting at 4:45 p.m. The event will feature a complimentary dinner, kids-zone activities, and Social-Emotional Learning workshops for parents, ending with a special MWR event. We’d love to hear from you about your interest in attending. Please provide your feedback here: https://forms.office.com/r/mxQF0JG6YD.
  • SCHOOL LIAISON & COMMUNITY UPDATES: Please find attached the updated information from our School Liaison Program.
  • S.T.E.A.M EXPO:  Our 4th annual STEAM Expo is around the corner, and we’re looking for presenters to dazzle our families with innovative STEAM activities. The expo will be on Wednesday, May 1st, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you're passionate about sharing your STEAM project, please get in touch with Ms. Danielle Strutton at danielle.strutton@dodea.edu.
  • MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT:  In times of stress, please remember that our Mental Health Roadmap provides resources and support for both you and your child. We’re here to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
