Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

  • Children may arrive starting at 7:50 a.m., which is 15 minutes before the official start of the school day.
  • All students should report to their designated playground areas for morning recess.
  • If parents need to arrive early for work or other commitments, children should not be dropped off before 7:50 a.m. and should use alternative childcare options.
  • Parents will be notified if their child is arriving too early consistently. Should the problem persist, the chain of command will be notified.

Drop-Off Protocol

  • Parents should say goodbye at the school entrance.
  • Staff will greet children and guide them to their designated areas upon arrival.
  • Parents are not permitted to escort children through the campus unless they are checked in at the front office and have permission by an office staff member.
  • All visitors must check in at the front office.

Morning Schedule

  • 7:50 a.m.: School gates open for students
  • 8:03 a.m.: Students line up to go to class
  • 8:05 a.m.: Teachers escort students to their classrooms
  • 8:10 a.m.: Students are in classrooms, ready to begin learning

Special Note for Younger Students

  • All students who do not ride the bus will be met by a staff member at the campus gate starting at 7:50 a.m.
  • Students younger than first grade must be handed off directly by a parent to a staff member during both arrival and dismissal.

Dismissal Procedures

  • School ends at 2:35 p.m. (or 10:55 a.m. on half days, and 1:35 p.m. on early release days).
  • Buses depart around 2:50 p.m. (or 11:10 a.m. on half days, and 1:50 p.m. on early release days).
  • Students should not remain on campus after dismissal unless participating in supervised after-school activities or accompanied by a parent.
  • Students should not return to their classrooms after staff duty hours.

Change in Student Pick Up

  • Changes in pick-up arrangements must be communicated to the front office by phone.
  • Ideally, notify before noon.
  • Requests made less than an hour before dismissal may not be processed, and requests within 30 minutes of dismissal are not accepted unless in an emergency.
  • For medical appointments, parents must request check-out in person, not by phone.
  • Parents arriving less than 30 minutes before dismissal to pick up children may need to wait until the regular dismissal time.

Important Reminder

  • Security will be contacted if students are not picked up by 3:30 p.m.
