Toro Parents,

Check-out Rota Elementary Weekly Updates!  Be sure to take note of important events such as student re-registration starting on April 10th and upcoming celebrations honoring the Month of the Military Child. Stay informed and get involved!

  • STUDENT REGISTRATION: Starting April 10th, parents are required to re-register their students, whether they are returning or undergoing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS), by visiting https://dodeasis.myfollett.com/aspen/logon.do. This is necessary to confirm whether their child will continue at Rota ES or will be moving due to a PCS if not staying at Rota ES. Completing this process assists our school in verifying eligibility and planning for staffing and instructional resources.
  • UNIVERSAL PREKINDERGARTEN:  We are excited to announce that Rota ES will be implementing Universal Prekindergarten for the school year 2024/2025. This program is open to students who are 4 years of age by September 1st. To learn more about Universal Prekindergarten and check eligibility criteria, please visit DoDEA's website at https://www.dodea.edu/education/universal-prekindergarten-program. Parents can start enrolling their child for Universal Prekindergarten from April 1st onwards by visiting https://dodeasis.myfollett.com/aspen/logon.do
  • ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HERITIAGE CONTEST: We're inviting K-5th graders to celebrate by participating in grade-level contests - create a country flag (K-1st), a homemade lantern (2nd-3rd), or an origami picture (4th-5th). Prizes include NEX Gift Cards and books! Submit entries to Ms. Cuba in Room 143 by May 2nd.
  • MOMC BINGO NIGHT: The USO and the PTSA have partnered to host a Bingo Night for the Month of the Military Child (MOMC) at Rota Elementary School. Fantastic prizes will be available across five rounds of Bingo. This event is scheduled for April 12th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
  • MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD PROCLAMATION EVENT: On Wednesday, April 17th, at 8:30 AM, the Rota School Complex students and staff will hold a school-wide event to celebrate our students and declare April as the Month of the Military Child. Parents are invited to join us starting at 8:30 AM near the MPB.
