UPCOMING EVENTS
- Fall Break Announcement: Rota ES Elementary will be on Fall Break from November 27th to 29th. Enjoy your time off, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, December 2nd!
- Winter Bazaar:Â Join us for the Rota Elementary PTSA's Annual Winter Bazaar on December 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rota Elementary Cafeteria, featuring unique gifts and treats made by your favorite home-based businesses!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Flu Vaccinations:Â As a reminder, all students are required to have a flu vaccination or a waiver on record to maintain enrollment at school. Please ensure your influenza vaccine is submitted by December 1, 2024. Proof of vaccination or the school waiver can be dropped off at the school or submitted to the school nurse at yolanda.patten@dodea.edu.
- It's Not Too Late to Celebrate Our Teachers: This month of gratitude is the perfect opportunity to recognize the incredible impact our teachers have on our children’s lives. A gratitude table is set up in the main office with cards for heartfelt messages. You can also submit your "Thank You" notes online using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/y2h3pczDxn. Let’s come together to express our appreciation!
- NOW HIRING Educational Aides and Substitute Teachers: Join our team and support military-connected students! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals for entry-level federal positions that offer professional growth, flexible part-time schedules, competitive wages, and benefits—all without a college degree required! For more details, please refer to the attached flyers.
SPORTS AND CLUBS
- Cheer Clinic Announcement:Â The Rota Admiral Varsity Cheerleaders are hosting our annual Junior Cheer Clinic on Saturday, December 7th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a parent showcase starting at 1:45 PM. All students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome! Cost: $40 per child includes lunch (hotdog, chips, and drink) and cheer pom-poms. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. - Chess Club: Please note there will be no Chess Club meeting on Tuesday, November 26.
 PTSA NEWS
- Teacher Giving Tree: PTSA's Teacher Giving Tree from November 22 to December 17 by picking a tag, wrapping your gift with the tag attached, and placing it under the tree in the DGF Front Office by 3pm on December 17th. PTSA will deliver the gifts to teachers before winter break.
- Get Involved with the Rota Elementary PTSA!: Are you interested in getting more involved at DGF Elementary this year? We are looking for passionate volunteers for several positions, including President, Membership Coordinator, Yearbook Coordinator, and Photography Coordinator. - Family Deployment Group: Join us for the Family Deployment Support Group hosted by Military Family Life Counselors on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:50 PM to 4:00 PM in the DGF Elementary Library. - Feeling Overwhelmed Supporting Your Child's Mental Health?: Join our free monthly support group! Learn practical strategies and discover helpful resources while managing your own stress. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. in the EDIS Building Conference Room. Call 727-4029 to reserve your space.

- School Hours: Doors open at 7:50 a.m.; classes start at 8:05 a.m. Late arrivals must be signed in by a parent. Office hours: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily. Contact: 856-82-0220 (off-base) or 682-0220 (DSN). Dismissal: 2:35 p.m. daily, 1:35 p.m. on Wednesdays. Please arrange childcare accordingly.
